Check-in: Getting ready for my critique group tomorrow, I revised my novelty picture book this morning, working in the great ideas my critique group gave me two weeks ago. As I revised, I got more ideas and realized that I had been holding back on the premise of this picture book. I told myself to not be afraid to be BOLD. We’ll see what my critique group thinks of the results tomorrow.
Also, as I’m continuing to browse the blog posts from the SCBWI Summer Conference, I found one from the session with picture book guru Ann Whitford Paul, who was interviewed on Day By Day Writer last month.
