Book Birthday Bash

The Prophet CallsHappy Book Birthday to THE PROPHET CALLS!

In this middle-grade novel, 13-year-old Gentry Forrester feels lucky to live in a polygamous community among God’s chosen people in the Prophet’s compound. But when the incarcerated Prophet’s revelations begin to threaten her family, Gentry is faced with conforming to his terrible demands or discovering what it truly means to be free.

We’re so happy you’re at our party for THE PROPHET CALLS. Join in the fun…

PARTY SOUNDS…

Bluegrass music! This is Gentry’s favorite kind of music to play on her violin with her brother, Tanner. Some of their favorite songs include: “Jerusalem’s Ridge,” “Gold Rush,” “Swallow Tail Jig” and “Red-Haired Boy.”

PARTY FOOD…

They live in New Mexico, so Gentry’s family loves anything with red or green chile. Gentry’s favorite? Bean burritos served “Xmas-style” (with red and green chile on top).

PARTY GAMES…

A favorite game at the commune is Apocalypse, which is basically a game of catch.

PARTY FAVORS…

Unnecessary gifts are rare in their community. But since this is a special occasion, there are bookmarks and lots of music.
