Book Birthday Bash: Tiny Infinities

Book Birthday Bash

Tiny InfinitiesHappy Book Birthday to TINY INFINITIES!

In this funny, heartfelt, beautifully written story of family and friendship, thirteen-year-old Alice’s determination to set a swim team record for the Cherrywood Sharks anchors her through the summer when her parents split up and she’s taking care of her mom, who’s suffering through a period of deep depression. After her dad moves out, Alice decides she’ll ‘move out’ too, and vows to live in the family’s old Renaissance fair tent in their back yard until he returns.

A new friend on the swim team, Harriet, is fascinated by the fireflies that are so plentiful in Alice’s yard, and starts collecting them in the tent for a science fair project. One night, those fireflies seem to spark a miracle when Alice’s mute, four-year-old next door neighbor holds them in her hands and suddenly speaks. To Alice, the flash of a firefly is magical. To Harriet, in this STEM-friendly novel, bioluminescence is a fascinating chemical reaction.

When the adults in her life make decisions she has no say in, and she meets problems she can’t fix and is accused of lying about her neighbor, it’s up to Alice to spark the resilience she needs to move forward – to create it from inside, like firefly light.

We’re so happy you’re at our party for middle-grade novel TINY INFINITIES. Join in the fun…

PARTY SOUNDS…

“Fireflies” by Owl City is the perfect song to get this party started! Listen while you enjoy the party.

PARTY FOOD…

Curly fries, fruit smoothies and cheese quesadillas from the Cherrywood Pool Snack Bar, plus a party platter of sushi made by fifteen-year-old Owen – an aspiring sushi chef and Alice’s serious crush.
