Want a Critique? Help Someone in Need

As everyone who saw the horrible news, I was devastated to see the fire of Grenfell Tower in London. So when I saw that a bunch of publishing professionals were getting together to raise funds for those affected, I jumped at the chance to participate.

The Authors for Grenfell Tower Auction includes incredible prizes, from signed books from Rainbow Rowell, to naming a character in Phillip Pulman’s next book, to workshops, author visits, critiques and more.

I’m donating a critique of the first chapter of a novel (upto 5,000 words), including an editorial letter with overall notes as well as line notes. I also encourage the winner to submit a 1-page synopsis of the full novel so I can better guide them by knowing where the story is heading.

All proceeds from the auction will be given to the Red Cross UK for their efforts to help the residents and others affected by the horrible fire.

So, want some professional feedback on your manuscript? Bid here!

Deadline is June 27, so hurry. I can’t wait to read your work.

And, don’t forget to bid on all the other amazing items. Let’s change the lives of the people who’ve lost so much.
